Contemporary Fruitery

 

This conceptual design explores ideas for a contemporary fruit garden.  The space is entered through a pavilion with a water tank leading to a recycled glass rill.  A wavy boardwalk lies below small apple trees, giving echoes of the humpy nature of old orchards.  Architectural but productive plants such as Rhubarb and Cardoons articulate the spaces. Blackberries and Loganberries clothe the boundaries.  The glass rill leads to a central tank surrounded by curving cold frames and an area for al fresco eating.
